In memory of the more than 2,400 Americans who died as a result of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on Dec. 7, 1941, Gov. John Baldacci asks that federal and state flags be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset today. National Pearl Harbor Day also will be marked by the governor and local veterans during a public ceremony at noon today at Kenduskeag Stream Plaza in downtown Bangor.
