A three-car accident backed up traffic Monday night near the intersection of Stillwater and College avenues in Old Town.
A white pickup truck had the most damage with its front end smashed in and the hood pushed back, exposing the engine. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
The other two vehicles involved in the crash, a black GMC dual-cab pickup truck with damage to its front and rear, and a Ford sport utility vehicle with minor damage, also were towed.
Efforts to reach Old Town police regarding possible injuries and the names of people involved were unsuccessful.
The accident scene took about an hour to clear and was further compounded by rush-hour traffic.
