Blueberries for Fido

Who says humans should get all of the benefits of blueberries? Bite o’ Blue treats from Peaked Mountain Farm in Dedham are purely for the dogs (and the dogs, for the record, love them). The healthy, antioxidant-rich bones cost $5 for a box of 12 and are available by calling 843-6484, by mail at Peaked Mountain Farm, 16 Ellery’s Lane, Dedham, ME 04429, or by e-mail at PeakedMtFarm@aol.com.

Chef to go

What to buy for the foodie who has everything? A personal chef. For $40, Kathy Mulligan from 124 Cottage Street Restaurant in Bar Harbor will prepare a catered dinner for two and deliver it (in Bar Harbor). On Thursdays through January, recipients will be able to choose from two complete dinner selections (salad, entree and dessert). For menu details or more information, visit www.124CottageStreet.com or call 288-0387.

New England’s Sweethearts

Are you and your sweetie smitten with the Sox? Crazy for the Celts? Everyone knows New England sports fans are among the most committed in the country. If your love for your honey rivals your love for the Patriots, enter NECCO’s “All-Star Sweethearts” contest. Through Dec. 14, couples over the age of 18 can find an entry form online at www.necco.com. Entries must include contact information, a photograph of the couple showcasing their commitment to each other and their love for sports, and a 150-word description demonstrating why the participating or nominated couple should be named New England’s “All-Star Sweethearts.”
