ORONO – University of Maine members of Male Athletes Against Violence are sponsoring a weeklong White Ribbon Campaign under way at the UMaine campus.
The campaign involves the distribution of white ribbons to men on campus. Wearing the white ribbon is a pledge never to commit, condone, or remain silent about violence against women.
The members of MAAV are part of an international campaign that runs through Friday. The MAAV coordinator is Marcus Walton while the founding members of MAAV include Devon Goree, Alex Goyins, James Henry, Matthew King, Justin Knox, Patrick Pa’u, Stephen Radulski, Agean Robinson, and Jermaine Jackson.
