BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin women’s basketball team forced 34 turnovers and shot 56 percent from the field on the way to a 94-40 victory over Husson College Wednesday.

The Polar Bears extended their streak of consecutive home victories to 46 and have won 30 straight regular-season games.

Ashleigh Watson scored 16 points for Bowdoin, which is ranked No. 1 in the country in Division III. Erika Nickerson tossed in 15 points while Vanessa Russell and Marisa Berne added 10 each.

Holly Gracie paced Husson College of Bangor with 10 points and Annie McIntosh added eight.

Kathleen Nicholson and Tanya Rosbash each scored 12 points for Colby. Katie McCabe netted 10 points and Wendy Bonner had 12 rebounds.

Marc McCorrison scored 24 points for Maine Maritime Academy and Neil Stewart added 13. Brandon Hall had 12 points and 14 boards and B.J. Dunlap had seven assists.

Brian Gerrity and Jon Furbush each scored 16 points for Bates College. Rob Stockwell had 14 points and 10 boards and Elliott Linsley scored 10 points.
