MILLINOCKET – Shannon Pietras grabbed the rebound of a Quinci Sanderson miss and scored from the paint as the buzzer sounded to give Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln a come-from-behind 54-53 schoolgirl basketball win over Stearns Monday night.

Pietras finished with a game-high 19 points and Bree Hanscom netted 18 more as Mattanawcook of Lincoln overcame a four-point deficit in the fourth quarter to nip Stearns.

Trisha MacDonald’s 12 points and Johnna Michaud’s 11 led Stearns. Deanna Michaud and Amy Collinsworth combined for 16 more.
