Brian Quinn

University of Maine offensive lineman Brian Quinn was named to the Atlantic 10 Football Academic All-Conference team. Quinn has a 3.75 cumulative grade point average and earns a spot on the squad for the second straight season.

Nick Pelotte

Plymouth State University senior guard Nick Pelotte, a former Valley High of Bingham star was named the Little East Conference Player of the Week for Basketball. Pelotte had 40 points to help the Panthers to an overtime win over Tufts. He also added 23 points in a win over UMass Dartmouth.

Monique Brassard

Monique Brassard of the University of Maine at Fort Kent was honored as the Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week for Women’s Basketball. Brassard scored 18 points against UM-Machias.

Darius Parker

University of Maine at Fort Kent freshman guard Darius Parker of Danforth was named the Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week by the Sunrise Conference. Parker averaged 17 points, including a 19 point game against UM-Machias.
