Hostetter leads WA Raiders past J-B Royals Knowles, Woodland tops East Grand for second win

JONESPORT – Sam Hostetter scored 16 points and Jeffrey Ramsdell added 12 points on four 3-pointers as Washington Academy of East Machias held off Jonesport-Beals 56-51 in a Downeast Athletic Conference boys basketball game Wednesday night.

Nick Wood contributed 11 points for the Raiders, who played without senior forward James Ramsdell, sidelined by an ankle injury.

Ross Griffin led Jonesport-Beals with 18 points, while Joseph Libby scored 12.
