CONCORD, N.H. – A $100,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Maine in Saturday night’s $23 million drawing. According to Maine State Lottery officials, the ticket was sold at the Tradewinds Marketplace in Corinth, Maine, though store employees had not yet received any confirmation from lottery officials or from the winner.
“It’s a possibility, but we’re just not sure,” said an employee. “We may have sold the ticket, but no one has come here to verify it.”
Saturday night’s Powerball sales in Maine were worth more than $258,000. Other than the $100,000 winner, players who matched some winning numbers on tickets bought in Maine will share more than $32,000 in prizes. The jackpot is expected to rise to $30 million by Wednesday.
The Saturday night numbers were 1-25-29-30-45, Powerball 12.
