Christmas, a word that brings thoughts of love, hope and joy of giving, because that is what Christmas is all about – giving. As God gave, we give.
Now we are told that we have to tolerant of others who don’t believe as we do. Why? There doesn’t seem to be very much tolerance coming our way.
We are now being told that it is politically correct to say “Happy Holidays” or “Season’s Greetings,” not “Merry Christmas.”
Well, I am not celebrating a season or a holiday, but Christmas – the birthday of Jesus, the son of God – who came into the world to save mankind.
I would love to see a nativity scene in front of every home and public building in town, but I know that is not going to happen. What are people so afraid of? Is it the fact that Christ is risen and that there is an empty tomb in Jerusalem?
Merry Christmas and God bless.
