Bracey Barker

University of Maine women’s basketball player Bracey Barker was named the Wilson Player of the Week. Barker, a sophomore forward from Mount Desert Island, scored 20 points Saturday to help the Black Bears earn a 69-61 win over Michigan.

Anthony Morgan

University of Maine sophomore Anthony Morgan was named America East’s men’s track and field performer of the week. The South Berwick native and Marshwood High School graduate finished first in the weight throw with a toss of 16 meters and was third in shot put with a 13.11-meter throw in a dual meet against the University of New Hampshire.

Megan Wolters

Megan Wolters, a junior transfer student from Louisiana State University, was named America East’s women’s swimmer of the week after winning three individual events for the University of Maine in a dual meet win over Boston University. The Mississippi native won the 200-meter freestyle, 200 backstroke, and 200 individual medley as well as competing on Maine’s winning 200 medley relay team.

John Goss

Colby College kicker John Goss was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Northeast Football All-Star Team. Goss led the Mules in scoring with 44 points after going 9-for-13 in field-goal attempts and 17-for-19 in extra-point attempts.

Wayne Harrington

Colby College senior Wayne Harrington was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Northeast Football All-Star Team. Harrington led his team in tackles (79), tackles for loss (18), fumble recoveries (3), and pass breakups (5).

Peter Sherman

Senior defensive end Peter Sherman of Colby College earned his way onto the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Northeast Football All-Star Team. Sherman led NCAA Division III in forced fumbles per game at 0.86. He had six forced fumbles and led Colby in sacks with 5.5.

Daniel Oliphant

Junior offensive tackle Daniel Oliphant of Colby College was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Northeast Football All-Star Team. Oliphant was named co-captain for next year’s squad with Conor Sullivan. He won the Wadsworth Award last season for most improved offensive player.
