With the donations that arrived over the weekend, the Santa’s Helper Fund contains $40,670.21, which will be given to The Salvation Army to be used to help with Christmas. These gifts, together with those that already have been made, represent 81percent of this year’s goal.
This generous outpouring from the community will go a long way toward bringing a happy Christmas to many needy families in our region. Thanks to all who have given, and to all those who will consider this worthy cause in the days ahead.
