BANGOR – Normal business hours will resume today in 3rd District Court in Bangor.
The Hammond Street courthouse closed at noon Monday because of a furnace malfunction that left the clerk’s office and judges’ chambers without heat.
Cases scheduled Monday were completed before the courtroom closed, according to the Penobscot County District Attorney’s Office.
The two courtrooms and other offices in the building, including the Penobscot Regional Communications Center, were not affected.
Penobscot County commissioners today were scheduled to discuss the extent of the problem at their regularly scheduled meeting.
Hours at 3rd District Court in Bangor are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
