FORT KENT – Pat Caron’s 3-pointer with less than a minute to play in regulation tied the game, and the Fort Kent boys basketball team prevailed in double overtime, beating Presque Isle 68-61 Monday in high school action.

Seth Rivera led the Warriors with 21 points. Mitch Ouellette tallied 16 points and 13 rebounds while Derrick Plourde notched 11 points and 11 boards.

Matt McGlinn scored a game-high 22 points for the Wildcats. Greg Whitaker added 13 and Chris Coffin had 10.

At Easton, Kassie Lovely hit a late 3-pointer that put Easton ahead for good and then added two clutch free throws to rally the Bears past Greater Houlton Christian Academy.

Nina Alexander paced the Bears with 29 points, tying her career high, and added had six steals. Lovely finished with 18 points.

Megan Korhonen’s 20 points and Lacey Farrar’s 12 led the Eagles.
