Cochran’s layup lifts Woodland past WA

EAST MACHIAS – Courtney Cochran took a pass from Heidi Graceffa and made a layup with 3.4 seconds remaining Tuesday night to lift Woodland to a 46-45 girls basketball victory over Washington Academy.

Cochran and Michelle Ferry each finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Rachel Torrey scored 10 points and posted seven assists for Woodland.

Ashley Tilton notched 20 points for Washington Academy. Megan Look added 10 points.
