NEWPORT – Erin Porter scored all 11 of her points in the second half Tuesday night as Bangor erased an eight-point halftime deficit on its way to a 42-33 Class A girls basketball victory over Nokomis.

Porter also had six steals for the Rams, who outscored the Warriors 30-13 in the second half.

Kelsey Curtis had 11 points and seven rebounds and Serena Dubois contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for Bangor.

Alyssa Bragdon’s 10 points paced Nokomis.

At Alfond Arena in Orono, Brandon Deans scored three goals, including the game-tying goal at 10:45 into the third off a Gary Johnson assist, to help Old Town tie Stearns.

Chris St. Louis scored two goals for 0-4-1 Old Town and Johnson had two assists. Jason Trask made 25 saves on 30 shots.

Mike Simon scored two goals for Stearns of Millinocket, Josh Stewart had a goal and two assists, and Lance Thibodeau and Justin Pelkey each scored a goal. Jay Kim stopped 49 of 54 shots.
