MACHIAS – Maine State Police have identified Carolyn Chadwick, 62, of Machias as the woman who was killed Tuesday morning in a two-car collision on Route 9 in Alexander.
Chadwick was a passenger in a car driven by her companion, James Wheeler, 61. Wheeler was treated for injuries at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Chadwick was an owner of the Seagull Motel in Machias.
Their car apparently collided with a vehicle driven by Kandis Davis of Crawford. Davis’ car crossed the centerline, according to police, and struck Wheeler’s car.
