Tiffany Jones

University of Southern Maine’s Tiffany Jones was named the Co-Player of the week by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association with Michelle Gott of Maine Maritime. Jones scored a combined 41 points in two wins to help the Huskies to the Red Top Cab Christmas Classic title.

Maine Maritime Academy player Michelle Gott was honored by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Co-Player of the Week with Tiffany Jones of Southern Maine. Gott had two free throws with .3 seconds remaining to lead the Mariners to the 60-59 win. She averaged 20 points per game with six rebounds in two wins.

Rachel Gettings

University of Maine goalie Rachel Gettings was named the ITECH Goaltender of the Month for December. Gettings went 4-0-0 with a 1.24 goals against average and a .928 save percentage. She had 64 saves in four games as the Black Bears defeated Northeastern 3-1 and 3-2 in overtime and Quinnipiac 5-1 and 5-1.
