Gould helps Katahdin get past Southern Aroostook

STACYVILLE – Brett Gould scored 10 of his 17 points in the second quarter to power the host Katahdin Cougars to the 53-50 schoolboy basketball victory over Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook Wednesday.

Alex McAvoy scored 13 points for the Cougars, and Owen McCarthy added 10.

Tim Hartin had 21 points for Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook, and Travis Brooker scored 11.
