ASHLAND – Ashley Nemer scored 13 points during a 27-3 first-quarter spurt as the Ashland High School Hornets improved to 8-0 with a 73-45 victory over Easton Thursday night.

Nemer finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds while Mindy Chasse tallied 12 points and 10 boards for Ashland.

Nina Alexander paced the Bears with 16 points and Cassie Lovely added 13.

Matt Nickerson scored a game-high 27 points for the Vikings. Josh Hancock added 12, while Mike Adams had 11.
