GUILFORD – Roy Burdin scored a game-high 24 points and sank all four of his free throws in the fourth quarter to help Piscataquis Community High School hold off Central of Corinth 51-47 in a schoolboy basketball game Thursday night.

Mike Wharff added 16 for the winners.

Nick Elliott led Central with 19 points and Ryan Nickerson netted nine.

At Harrington, Ben Dorr scored 13 of his game-high 23 points in the second half and Travis Perry had 12 of his 15 as Narraguagus outscored Sumner of East Sullivan 36-23 to erase a three-point halftime deficit.

Dorr also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and Perry dished out five assists.

Alex Polk’s 14 points and nine rebounds, Jon Coffin’s 11 points, Chris Manning’s 10 points and Victor Jacques’ game-high six assists paced Sumner.

Matt Nickerson scored a game-high 27 points for the Vikings. Josh Hancock added 12, while Mike Adams had 11.

Sanford finished with a double-double, 11 points and 16 rebounds for the hosts, as did Evan Carter, with 16 points and 10 boards. Matt Armstrong added 12 points and Jordan Guy 11, respectively.

Jordan Hill led all scorers with 18 points for Houlton and Brett Miles tallied 14.

Brian Leighton notched a goal plus an assist for 1-4 Bapst while J.P. Liebfarth added an assist. Nate Kuneman had 14 saves on 15 shots.

Derek Smith scored the lone goal for the 2-3 Ponies, off assists from Billy Morarty and Justin Colbry. Dan Perkins stopped 31 out of 35 shots.

At Ashland, Ashley Nemer scored 13 points during a 27-3 first quarter spurt as the Hornets remained undefeated.

Nemer finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds while Mindy Chasse tallied 12 points and 10 boards for Ashland.

Nina Alexander paced the Bears with 16 points and Cassie Lovely added 13.
