How many more of our citizens should be outright viciously murdered before Mainers rise up and demand the death penalty?
The latest, and apparently one of the most vicious killings of the young lady in Caribou, should awaken legislators in Augusta and initiate the necessary process to institute the death penalty.
Life in the jailhouse is not enough – especially when the killers never seem to fulfill that life sentence, only to return to the streets to repeat another major crime.
Let’s get on with it and see which of our brave legislators will start the courageous process to let the voters determine through referendum.
