Selander effort paces Caribou past Foxcroft

CARIBOU – Monica Selander poured in a game-high 32 points Saturday to propel the Caribou Vikings to a 60-42 girls basketball victory over Foxcroft Academy.

Shelby Cousins contributed eight points for Caribou.

Coral Goggin scored 15 points for the Ponies and Nicole Brown added 11.

Sam Carter, Mitch Hall and Micah Carter scored the first three goals for the 4-1-2 Black Hawks. Aaron Fitzpatrick made 12 saves on 15 shots.

Adam Conway scored twice and Brad Bellemare netted a goal for 2-4 Foxcroft Academy. Dan Perkins and Jon Catell combined for 53 saves on 57 shots.

Hampden 2, Presque Isle 0

At Presque Isle, Kevin Brooks and Nick Beal each registered a goal and an assist as the Broncos gained a win.

Roy Woods saved all 11 shots he faced for 5-3 Hampden Academy.

Brandon Esquibel stopped 37 of 39 shots for the 5-2-1 Wildcats.
