Tonight is the first of four neighborhood workshops scheduled by the Bangor Planning Board to solicit citizen input into a revision of the city’s Comprehensive Plan. This is a unique opportunity to make known our feelings, views and wishes about Bangor’s future direction.
Residents may attend any or all of the meetings, which will be held in various parts of the city. Tonight’s meeting will begin at 6:30 at the Abraham Lincoln School, 45 Forest Ave.
The other three meetings will be Jan. 25 at Fairmount School, 58 Thirteenth St.; Feb. 8 at Down East School, 100 Moosehead Blvd.; and March 8 at Mary Snow School, 435 Broadway. All meetings are scheduled to run Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Comprehensive Plan will guide Bangor’s development and priorities for the next five years, so this is definitely our chance to listen to our neighbors, meet Planning Board members, and speak out.
