Calais knocks off WA Raiders

CALAIS – Michael Guthrie’s free throw with one second remaining in overtime enabled the Calais High School boys basketball team to deal Washington Academy of East Machias its first loss, 58-57, Monday night.

Chris Taylor paced the Blue Devils with 17 points. Garrett Dickerson notched 14 and Robbie Rogers 12.

James Ramsdell sparked WA with 17 points. Jared Sternbergh connected for 14 and Jeremy Gray 12.
