BELFAST – Women, Work and Community will offer a two-week “Job Seekers Workshop” in Belfast and Thomaston in late January.

The class is designed for job seekers from all backgrounds who are unemployed, underemployed, or just looking for a new job. There are no income or educational requirements, and the workshop is open to men and women.

Participants will begin by identifying their skills, interests and experiences and connecting to the skills employers are looking for in employees. From that, they will develop a resume that represents their skills and interests. They also will learn strategies and resources to help them find a job and will be part of a supportive network of other job seekers.

Registration for the free class is required by Jan. 14. For information and to register, call Linda Buckmaster at (800) 442-2092 or visit the Web site at www.womenworkandcommunity.org.
