8:26 p.m. Passer-by calls in fire. Reports smoke coming from front door.

8:28 p.m. Bangor Assistant Fire Chief Rick Cheverie arrives at scene.

8:30 p.m. First Bangor fire engine arrives, and 24 firefighters enter building.

8:42 p.m. Brewer Fire Department arrives at scene, and three firefighters enter building.

8:57 p.m. Holden Fire Department arrives at scene.

8:59 p.m. Hampden Fire Department arrives at Central Fire Station on Main Street in Bangor to cover station.

9:19 p.m. Fire crews evacuate building after a floor starts to collapse.

9:21 p.m. Everyone confirmed out of building, but firefighting continues from exterior.

10 p.m. Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross and Salvation Army volunteers arrive.

Friday, Jan. 16

9 a.m. City and independent engineers called in to inspect building structure.

9:51 a.m. Orono Fire Department arrives to take over for tired crews.

6:30 p.m. 22 hours of continuous firefighting ends. Wrecking ball starts to demolish building.

Saturday, Jan. 17

8 p.m. Main Street reopens.

Sunday, Jan 19

5 p.m. Fire officially extinguished. Bangor fire crews return to station and Public Works starts the cleanup around building. Two lanes of Water Street reopened.

Monday, Feb. 9

32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center for children with dyslexia reopens at donated Harlow Street location.

Monday, April 5

Fire investigation ends with no cause determined. Building cleanup starts.

May 2-4

Building cleanup ends, fence comes down and all three lanes of Water Street reopen.
