BANGOR – Members of the public are invited to join maestro Xiao-Lu Li, music director and conductor of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, on a 12-day, 10-evening tour of China, March 14-25.

Participants will experience the culture and history of China in cities that include Beijing, Xian and Shanghai.

The cost of the tour includes most meals and several banquets, as well as evening entertainment such as the Peking Opera, Shanghai Acrobats and Tang Dynasty Theater stage show.

The total cost for the trip is $3,950, based on double occupancy and coach airfare. This includes the cost of international air fare from Bangor or Portland, all domestic flights in China, 5-star hotels, most meals, ground transportation, airport taxes and tips.

Personal expenses are not included. In addition, a $50 fee for a Chinese visa will be required. A deposit of $500, cash or check, is recommended as soon as possible, since space is limited. The balance must be paid no later than Feb. 1. Single accommodation is available for $600 extra.
