WASHBURN – Andrew Martin converted 11 of 13 free throws in the fourth quarter Friday night as Van Buren outscored Washburn 24-9 to erase a seven-point deficit and earn a 71-63 boys basketball victory.

Martin finished with 21 points for Van Buren. Tyler Lapierre scored 16 while Trevor Hews and Tyler Conley tallied 12 each.

Jason Thompson poured in 32 points for Washburn. Adam Thompson connected for 23.
