Warner Nickerson of Colby College in Waterville completed the FIS World University Games with a sixth-place finish in the slalom and earned a silver medal in the men’s combined competition.

Nickerson, a senior All-American from Tilton, N.H., earned top-10 finishes in each of the Alpine disciplines. Dominik Schweiger of Austria won the men’s combined.

Nickerson became the first U.S. double medalist at the games since 1997. He was one of only six American men skiing in the event held at Innsbruck, Austria.
