Hawks’ Sloat, Blanchette trip Fort Fairfield

FORT FAIRFIELD – Andrea Blanchette and Collette Sloat combined for 15 fourth-quarter points as the Hodgdon Hawks pulled away to upset Fort Fairfield 51-38 in schoolgirl basketball play Tuesday night.

Sloat finished with a game-high 17 points for Hodgdon, and Blanchette posted 15.

Heather Hathaway tossed in 13 points to top the Tigers, and Whitney Searles added nine.

Brewer rallied to within 44-42 early in the fourth quarter before Socoby worked the low post for three straight baskets to give the Rams the cushion they needed.

Jordan Heath added 12 points for Bangor.

Chris Wilson scored a game-high 28 points for Brewer, which used just five players. Justin MacDonald added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
