PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Ashley Marble poured in 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to propel the University of Southern Maine to an 85-62 women’s basketball victory over Plymouth State Tuesday night.

Megan Myles scored 18 points and Katie Frost provided 13 points, six rebounds and five assists for the University of Southern Maine of Gorham.

Betsy Oswalt led Plymouth State with 13 points.

Melissa Sawyer paced UMaine-Farmington with 13 points and Karen Sirois contributed 10 points, five assists and four steals.

Wendy Bonner led Colby College of Waterville with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Kathleen Nickerson grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out five assists.

At Standish, the Polar Bears placed five players in double figures while beating the Monks.

Kyle Petrie paced Bowdoin College of Brunswick with 14 points, Andrew Sargeantson scored 12, Brian Lockhart and Jac Arbour provided 11 each and John Goodridge added 10.

Jon Pratt led Saint Joseph’s with 18 points and Steve Monteiro tallied 14.

At Plymouth, N.H., former Valley High School standout Nick Pelotte poured in 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to spark Plymouth State to victory.

Andreas Pope netted 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the winners, while Mike Walcek netted 14 points and Peter Hutchins 13.

Mike Francoeur and Josh Daniels tallied 12 points each for the University of Southern Maine of Gorham. Jason Levecque chipped in with 10 points.
