EAST MACHIAS – Undefeated Lee Academy hit nine of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to rally from an eight-point deficit and post a 53-51 schoolgirl basketball victory over Washington Academy Wednesday night.
Shelby Pickering and Aarika Ritchie each scored 12 points to pace the 13-0 Pandas and Karin Bird added 11, including all four of her free throws down the stretch.
Ashley Tilton sparked the Raiders with 20 points and seven rebounds. Kayla Wood notched nine points, seven rebounds and four steals while Mary Mawhinney grabbed 10 boards.
