CORINTH – Mike Julian poured in 21 points to lead the Central Red Devils to a 50-41 schoolboy basketball win over the Piscataquis Community Pirates Saturday.

Nick Elliott chipped in with 11 points for Central.

Mike Wharff tossed in 18 points for the Pirates of Guilford.

Micah Carton posted a goal and an assist for Houlton-Hodgdon, while Mitch Hall, Sharif Abouleish and Chris Howland tallied one goal apiece.

Ryan Brewer and Sam Carter each provided two assists and Tyler Hutchinson added one to back Aaron Fitzpatrick, who made 26 saves on 28 shots.

Zac Greenier scored both goals for 5-6 John Bapst of Bangor. Brian Leighton and Alex Yates had an assist each. Nate Kuneman made 29 saves on 35.

Hampden 3, Foxcroft 1

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Mike Brown knocked in two goals and Jason Huntley dished out two assists as the Broncos prevailed.

Kevin Brooks added a goal and Paul Morrison an assist for 8-3 Hampden Academy. Rory Woods made eight saves on nine shots.

Bill Moriarty scored the goal for the 3-7 Ponies. Logan Forrest and David White each had an assist while John Catel stopped 49 of 52 shots.

At Hermon, Malorie Hall tallied 16 points and nine rebounds as the Hawks fought off the Vikings.

Erica Armstrong and Cassie White added eight points each for Hermon. Shannon Wiggin dished out six assists.

Monica Selander led all scorers with 20 points for the Vikings. Makayla Gahagan tossed in 13.
