GREENFIELD – Half a dozen break-ins at hunting camps on Myra Road have been reported to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s office since Friday, according to one of the three deputies investigating complaints.
While expensive items were stolen from some camps, nothing was taken from others, Deputy Sean McCue said Sunday.
Officials believe the same two people were involved in all six incidents. McCue said tire tracks and shoe prints found at different crime scenes in the area matched.
“We’ve been bombarded with burglaries recently,” McCue said Sunday.
He urged people living in rural areas of Penobscot County to lock their doors and secure property in garages and outbuildings.
