Bangor Savings grant

The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to support the Bangor Y’s Jump-Start Program.

Jump-Start is a mentoring program for first-time nonviolent offenders and youth who are entering the juvenile justice system. The Y’s mission is to enhance the system by encouraging direct involvement of the local community in working with youth to help them acquire the necessary skills to make better decisions and to accept the consequences of inappropriate actions.

The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation’s award of this grant signifies its commitment to programs directed at improving the quality of life for youth in the communities served by Bangor Savings Bank.
