MILO – Senior guard Trisha MacDonald eclipsed the 1,000-point mark with her 15 points, including nine in the third quarter, as Stearns of Millinocket pulled away from host Penquis 64-40 in a schoolgirl basketball game Thursday night.
MacDonald now has 1,004 career points.
Hilary Arsenault had 15 points for Stearns and Johnna Michaud added 12. Each had six third-quarter points.
Kate Hamlin’s 15 points and Mindy Dolley’s 11 paced the Patriots.
