Cougars rally to roar past Wolverines McAvoy gets 18 for Katahdin

EAST MILLINOCKET – The Katahdin Cougars outscored Schenck by 21 points over the final three quarters to rally for a 61-51 boys basketball victory Friday night.

Alex McAvoy led four players in double figures with 18 points for Katahdin of Stacyville. Owen McCarthy chalked up 15, Patrick Willett 12, and Keith Anderson 13.

Aaron Waite had five 3-pointers and 20 points to lead all scorers for the Wolverines, and Nick Bishop added 13.
