The congregation of St. Thomas Anglican Mission voted Jan. 30 to become a full parish of the Diocese of the Northeast, Anglican Church of America. The vestry elected the Rev. Canon Granville Henthorne, vicar of the mission, as the parish’s first rector. Henthorne, a resident of Brooksville, is director of Logos House of Theological Studies, and the canon theologian for the Diocese of the Northeast. He has 25 years of parish experience. Founded in 1993 as the Anglican Church of the Advent, St. Thomas Anglican Mission holds its services at 10 a.m. Sundays at the White Birches Restaurant on Route 1 in Hancock.
