The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland will hold special celebrations in four parishes to welcome those who wish to become full members of the Catholic Church. Bishop Richard J. Malone will preside over the Rites of Election at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor; 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Lewiston; 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Portland; and at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, St. Denis, Fort Fairfield.
