MACHIAS – Joseph Libby scored eight of his game-high 29 points in the two overtime periods as the Jonesport-Beals boys basketball team escaped with an 82-75 victory over Machias Tuesday night in high school action.

The Royals’ Ross Griffin hit a jumper with 9.9 seconds remaining to send the game into the first overtime, and teammate Timmy Holmes scored from the baseline with 3.8 seconds left to push the game to the second OT.

Holmes finished with 15 points, and Griffin posted 13.

Mike Little popped in 22 points to pace the Bulldogs, who led by 10 at the half and by two after three quarters. James McCarthy added 21 points, and Cory Brooks had 20.
