According to the Maine State Planning Office, heating oil prices in the state averaged $1.93 a gallon as of Monday, Jan. 7. Prices ranged from $1.75 to $2.01 per gallon. The average price was one cent lower than last week’s price. Kerosene prices averaged $2.20 a gallon, 2 cents less than last week. Within the state, prices were highest in the northern and eastern areas and lowest in the southwest.
