PRESQUE ISLE – Tasha Deschene scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Presque Isle ended its schoolgirl basketball regular season by downing Fort Kent 62-44 on Wednesday night. Angela Norsworthy had 14 points and six rebounds and Kylan Smith added 12 points.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor Tuesday night, Erik St. Peter scored the second of his two goals late in the third period to lift the Wildcats to the win.

Brad Baker and Ben McPherson added a goal apiece and Brandon Berube two assists for 8-5-2 Presque Isle. Brendon Esquibel made 21 saves on 24 shots.

Derek Smith notched two goals and Brad Bellemare one for the 4-8 Poines. Adam Conway had two assists and Jon Catell stopped 29 of 33 shots.

Boys basketball

East Grand 73, Houlton Chr. 68

At Danforth on Tuesday, Marcus Crocker scored eight of his 21 points in the fourth quarter to help lead East Grand to the win in its final regular season game.

Mike Hanington and Brent Byers each had 16 points and 13 rebounds for East Grand. Kyle Dicker scored 12 points Crocker added five assists.

Emery Lincoln and Silas Kelly both led Greater Houlton Christian Academy with 21 points and Drew Farrar scored 17 points.

At Lee, Gerry Worster scored 10 of his 13 points in the first quarter to lead Lee Academy past Schenck of East Millinocket.

Peter Pickering had 13 points and six assists for Lee Academy and Neil Cowan also had 13 points. Tom Bird scored 11 points and Matt Scott added 10 points.

Chris Byron had 16 points for Schenck. Aaron Waite scored 13 points and Nick Bishop added 12 points.
