CORINTH -Senior Jenny Rollins scored 31 points, including the 1,500th of her career, to lead the Central Red Devils to a 56-37 schoolgirl basketball victory over Sumner on Wednesday night.

Rollins entered the game needing just four points to become her school’s first 1,500-point scorer, and reached the milestone early in the first quarter.

Rollins also grabbed seven rebounds for Central, while Danielle Collins added nine points.

Crystal Bridges led Sumner of East Sullivan with 11 points.

Zach Cioppla, Andy Wheeler, Kevin McCabe, Clint Willoughby, Brian Poulin and Brock LeClair all scored for the Black Raiders, who led 2-0 after the first period and 4-1 after two periods.

Dan Mangano scored an unassisted goal for 10-5-1 Hampden Academy.

Devon Grenier made 28 saves on 29 shots for Winslow. Rory Woods made 22 saves on 28 shots for Hampden.

At Kennebec Ice Arena in Augusta, Nick Payson and T.J. Vanidestine each scored two goals and tallied two assists as Bangor rolled.

Matt Boehmer scored twice for 12-3 Bangor. Other goal-scorers were Ben Silver, Brandon Prescott, Dylan George, Alex Porter, Mike Peer, Mike Varney and Mike McPike. Jamie Hardy saved all 16 Cony shots.

Nick Clavdell made 29 saves on 42 shots for 11-3 Cony.
