School vacation activities, Bangor Public Library

BANGOR – Bangor Public Library has scheduled several activities for school vacation:

. Feb. 22, 10 a.m., Joni Dunn of Bangor Photo with the first of a two-part program for school-age children. The first will be the basics of outdoor winter photography and the second, scheduled for Feb. 23, will cover fun things to do with finished photos. Participants will be furnished with a disposable camera, and Bangor Photo will develop the pictures free. Registration is required, and space is limited.

. Feb. 24, 10 a.m., “Milkweed Puppet Theatre” with Nancy Nye, performing her newest Brer Rabbit stories.

. Feb. 25, 10 a.m., Simin Kashkooli sharing the traditions, treats and costumes of the Persian New Year.

. Feb. 26, 11 a.m., the Maine Steiners performing in the Story Room.

The library will be closed Feb. 21 in honor of Presidents Day.
