A woman had her coat pockets picked early Sunday morning at Benjamin’s on Franklin Street in Bangor while she was on the dance floor.
The woman, who had left the coat unattended, noticed a man loitering near her table. When she checked her coat, she found that $60, two packs of cigarettes, a cell phone, her keys and a bottle of N.Y.C. clear nail polish were missing.
Bangor police Officer Erik Tall took down the information and left but was called back 20 minutes later when an argument was reported. He found the theft victim and another woman yelling at Damon Pelletier, 31, no address given.
The woman said that Pelletier looked like the man who had loitered near her coat. When she confronted him and asked him to empty his pockets, a bottle of N.Y.C. clear nail polish fell out.
After speaking with Pelletier, Tall issued him a summons for theft.
