Kyle Petrie

Bowdoin College junior forward Kyle Petrie was named the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. Petrie averaged 28 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in a 2-1 week.

Meg Myles

University of Southern Maine’s Meg Myles of Auburn was named the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. Myles averaged 13 points and 6.3 rebounds per game to help the Huskies to 19 straight wins.

Katie Morin

University of New England first year player Katie Morin of Lewiston was honored as the Rookie of the Week by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. Morin averaged 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists and steals in a 2-1 week.

Maryann Welsh

Maryann Welsh of the University of Maine at Fort Kent was named the Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Week for women’s basketball. Welsh scored 14 points in a win over Lyndon State College.

Derrick Cooper

University of Maine at Fort Kent senior guard Derrick Cooper was honored as the men’s basketball Sunrise Conference Player of the week. The Madawaska native scored a career high 27 points against Lyndon State on Sunday and averaged 23.5 points in two conference wins.

Billy Russo

University of Maine at Fort Kent freshman Billy Russo of Farmington was named the Sunrise Conference Rookie of the week for men’s basketball. Russo scored 18 points and had 24 rebounds in a win over College of St. Joseph’s on Saturday.
