Big School (Classes A-B)

CASEY QUAGLIA

Quaglia, a sophomore distance runner for the the Bangor High indoor track team, won the 800, mile and two-mile races to lead the Rams to their first Eastern Maine Indoor Track League boys championship since 1999.

Small School (Classes C-D)

CHRIS BARKAC

Barkac, a senior wrestler at Dexter High, won his fourth consecutive Class C state championship. He concluded his senior season with a 40-0 record, capped off by three pins in the state championship meet, including a 12-second victory over Mike Jonaitis of Dirigo of Dixfield in the 130-pound final.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

GABBY BABIN

Babin, a sophomore on the Bangor High swim team, won four events at the Penobscot Valley Conference championships Saturday. Babin took the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races while anchoring Bangor to wins in the 200 and 400 free relays. The Rams won their seventh straight PVC crown.

Small School (Classes C-D)

ANNA HALLER

The Limestone-MSSM junior center scored a game-high 17 points, including seven in the third quarter, as the Eastern Maine Class C Eagles beat Class D Ashland in their final regular-season game Friday, avenging a loss earlier this season. Haller scored six points for No. 7 Limestone in a 43-28 win over No. 10 Houlton Tuesday in an EM Class C prelim game.
