BUCKSPORT – A haddock dinner will be held this month to benefit Sgt. Harold Gray and his family.

The dinner will be held 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Franklin Street. The menu is fresh haddock, mashed potatoes, cole slaw and dessert. The suggested donation is $7 for adults, $3 for children under 12.

Gray is a member of the Maine National Guard, 133rd Engineer Battalion, and was in Iraq from last February to Dec. 26, when he was seriously injured when an explosive device hit his convoy.

Gray is in Walter Reed Hospital, where he has undergone several surgeries. The expenses for his family continue to mount as they spend time with him in Washington. Proceeds from the dinner will go to the fund set up for Gray at Seaboard Federal Credit Union.

Those who wish to donate a dessert for the dinner should contact Ellen Hersey at 469-3206.
