Bangor
History of N.H. Bragg & Sons
N.H. Bragg & Sons has announced the publication of its 150-year history. The book chronicles the history of N.H. Bragg from its founder, Norris H. Bragg, in 1854, through 2004.
Initially opening its doors as a blacksmith supply shop on Broad Street, the company expanded into the automotive, welding and industrial supply business as the second generation took the reins.
The book explores this family-held business as it responded to the changing American economy and remains part of Bangor’s landscape 150 years after its inception. The book also documents the family’s commitment to community service, one that also has been passed from generation to generation.
The book is available at N.H. Bragg, 92 Perry Road, and at Border’s Books and Music.
